Muscatatuck National Level Exercise 2011

NLE 11 was a full-scale exercise meant to represent the destruction following a 7.7 magnitude earthquake along the New Madrid fault line. The exercise took place at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Complex May 16 – 20 and is designed to examine the government's ability to implement local, state, and federal catastrophic earthquake response plans.

Last month I was privileged to assist in providing equipment support for the exercise.  It was attended by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security Districts 1, 2 and 3, as well as Indiana Task Force One, Ohio Task Force One and numerous participants from the US Military Civil Support Teams and CERFP Teams.

The star of the show was definitely the training center itself… check it out here… world class!

Cheers,

Andy
