Richmond, British Columbia CANADA, October 3, 2005 - CON-SPACE Communications Ltd. (TSX - V: CCB), recognized worldwide as the leading designer and manufacturer of specialized voice communication equipment used during the successful Pennsylvania Miners rescue and 9/11, is pleased to announce that CON-SPACE ("the Company") is actively seeking to penetrate the lucrative Asian market, with a specific focus on China, the world's fastest growing economy.
In order to facilitate this new market potential, the Company has joined the Canada Export Centre ("CEC") to expand its profile for products and services in the Asian markets.
As a result of increasing demand for CON-SPACE products throughout Asia, the Company is implementing a strategic business plan aimed at penetrating the Chinese Market. In addition, consideration is being given to how to best address this market and whether the establishment of a manufacturing facility in China for addressing the Asian market would be appropriate. To effectively approach such an end, CON-SPACE has joined the CEC to assist with qualified introductions and negotiations.
CON-SPACE will have a permanent trade booth established at the downtown Vancouver location of the
CEC to facilitate the introduction of the Company and its products to the many business visitors that come to Vancouver looking for opportunities. It is the intention of this trade booth to attract attention and lead to a potential business discussion to explore various opportunities.
CON-SPACE chairman, Jim Swanson, stated, ''By joining the CEC, we are seeking guidance to facilitate effective penetration into the Asian market as there has been significant demand for our product lines there and we must address the potential properly.'' Mr. Swanson added, "CON-SPACE is looking to establish a leadership presence in the Asian markets in this dynamic sector. Expanding our facilities overseas, especially in Asia, significantly enhances growth potential for our Company."
