RICHMOND, BC - Mr. James L. Swanson, Chairman, CON-SPACE Communications Ltd., (TSX:CCB) announced today that CON-SPACE has been nominated in the "Outstanding Business of the Year" category for the 25th Anniversary of the Awards of Excellence presented by the Richmond Chamber of Commerce and the City of Richmond.
"We are honored with this nomination and the recognition it gives the Company and its employees," said Swanson, "We have won awards before but to be seen as worthy by your own community is exceptional." The Outstanding Business of the Year Award is given to a business that has for at least three years been an ongoing successful business entity in the City of Richmond. CON-SPACE began in Richmond in 1990.
The Company recently received recognition as its equipment contributed to the successful rescue of nine miners trapped underground for three days in Pennsylvania. Its equipment has also used in the rescue attempts at the World Trade Center, Pentagon, Oklahoma City Bombing, and after various major earthquakes.
