NEWS RELEASE NO. 96-007Richmond, B. C. -- Mr. James L. Swanson, Chairman of CON-SPACE COMMUNICATIONS LTD. (CCB Vancouver) announced today the receipt of an order from the Canadian Department of Defense to equip the Canadian Airforce with its CSI-1000 Intercom and Alarm Systems. The equipment is to be used in aircraft fuel tank inspection and maintenance work.
"The order is in excess of $70,000," indicated Swanson, adding, "but more importantly the Airforce has standardized on our equipment for all their Aircraft fuel tank work. They will assign NATO Stock Numbers to our product which is a major breakthrough for CON-SPACE and could lead to our equipment being used in many more Canadian Military applications." The Canadian Airforce joins the United States Air Force, the New Zealand Air Force, aircraft manufacturers like Boeing and Lockheed and many world class airlines who are all currently using CON-SPACE Systems to service their aircraft fuel tanks. CON-SPACE is the undisputed leader in this field.
The CSI-1000 System was introduced by CON-SPACE last year to supplement its already successful CSI-2000 product line, and is proving to be a major asset in their goal to address all parts of the Confined Space market. "The CSI-1000 is exactly what the Airforce was looking for," said Swanson. "After many months of being evaluated and working with the Airforce, this order has established our Company as a supplier to the Canadian Military, which will certainly help both our Canadian sales and our plans for the world market."
