CON-SPACE SALES RECORD

January 14, 1998
NEWS RELEASE NO. 98-001

Richmond BC-Mr. James L. Swanson, Chairman of CON-SPACE Communications Ltd., (VSE:CCB) announced today a new record in quarterly sales for the Company.

"CON-SPACE has now passed the $500,000 mark in quarterly sales," said Swanson, adding, "Our second quarter sales, which ended December 31, 1997, surpassed our second quarter a year ago by 43.2 percent and this year's first quarter by 44.4 percent. I'm delighted to report that our plans for increased penetration of our market are starting to pay off."

Since CON-SPACE started sales activities in July of 1992, its sales have consistently grown at average of 33.6 percent per year. Company Management feels strongly that all indicators point to continued sales growth at an increasing rate.

CON-SPACE was the only company to recognize a serious need for specialized communication equipment that allowed workers and supervisors maintain continuous voice contact while the workers are doing inspection, maintenance or repairs in confined spaces. A confined space is a restricted entry work environment such as tanks, silos, sewers or underground vaults. CON-SPACE products are purchased by Militaries, Governments, Municipalities, and a wide range of industries throughout North America, Great Britain, Europe and many other countries around the world. Con-space is considered a world authority on such equipment.

Mr. Swanson said that final expenses and earning would be known a little later this month and will be released at that time.
