RICHMOND, BC - Mr. James L. Swanson, Chairman, of CON-SPACE Communications Ltd. (CDNX:CCB) today announced the retirement of Mr. Montgomery Alton from the Board of Directors and of the decision to select a new replacement Board member.

"Monty has stepped down for personal reasons and we are truly sorry to see him go," said Swanson, "he was with us from the very beginning and has contributed substantially to our development as a Company, helping to guide us through the tough times in the early days. Now as we begin a new era of growth, he will be able to enjoy the benefits from the sidelines as a shareholder, knowing that he helped to make it all happen."

Alton joined the CON-SPACE Board in 1991 while the Company was developing its first product and a year prior to it becoming a public company.

"We must now look for someone to pick up were Monty left off, to advise and direct us during the next and most important phase of the growth of CON-SPACE", said Swanson. "We have a big and exciting job ahead of us over the next few years. Our Company will need a competent person to help us reap the full benefits of our strong, leading position in the Safety Industry and to penetrate even deeper into the Communications Industry."
