RICHMOND, BC-Mr. James L. Swanson, Chairman of CON-SPACE COMMUNICATIONS LTD., (TSX:CCB) announced today that the company again over preformed its forecasted growth for the year. Total sales for the fiscal year 2002, ended June 30th, were approximately $3,100,000, an 11% increase over 2001 sales.
"To have growth, during a year that saw many companies in North America and around the world lose ground," said Swanson, "means that we are in the right markets with the right products at the right time". With their innovative and unique communication products CON-SPACE has earned a reputation as 'the world's leading manufacturer and supplier of voice communication equipment for hazardous work areas'.
Programs introduced after the attack on the World Trade Center last year provide funds to allow all US communities be better prepared for terrorist activities. With their experience at Ground Zero and with over 900 Fire Department Rescue Teams in North America using their equipment, CON-SPACE is poised to help those communities equip and train teams of First Responders. The Company is also responding to calls from the Military, from Europe and from other countries concerned with terrorism.
Given this activity, along with the planned expansion of its distribution network in North America, Europe and Internationally, the introduction of new products like the "Vital Sound" Headset and the significant increase in their OEM, "Private Label" program, CON-SPACE is forecasting that fiscal 2003 will be a banner year.
The fourth quarter of 2002, closed with
a new sales record of $947,000, a 34.2% increase over the previous
quarter and a 17.1% increase over the same quarter last year.
"We are expecting fiscal 2002 to be a profitable year,"
said Swanson, "and fiscal 2003 to be even more profitable".
Complete financial results for fiscal 2002 will be released in
late August or early September once the auditors have completed
their analysis."
