NEWS RELEASE NO. 98-003

RICHMOND-Mr. James L. Swanson, Chairman, of CON-SPACE COMMUNICATIONS LTD., (VSE: CCB) gave an update report today on progress of their British company, CON-SPACE COMMUNICATIONS (UK) LTD. This UK Company is responsible for sales of the CON-SPACE products in both the British and European markets.

"Sales are progressing very strongly in our new subsidiary," said Swanson, "and we foresee a substantial contribution to the overall corporate growth because of our investment in Europe. The new confined space regulations, that went into effect in Great Britain on January 28th 1998, are already resulting in an increased level of interest in our products." In preparation for this expanded market CON-SPACE has been active in establishing numerous distributors throughout the UK. "We have even establish and trained an Authorized Maintenance facility in Leeds, England to ensure quality local service for our customers."

When asked about Europe Swanson said, "Our progression in Europe is very positive. We have established a well qualified German Country Distributor, are finalizing arrangements with two other possible Country Distributors for other countries and are in preliminary discussions with various other possible organizations." CON-SPACE terminated its employee in Switzerland and is currently experiencing some difficulty in retrieving Company assets at that location, however, action is underway to resolve this issue. Swanson indicated that by eliminating the Swiss office and consolidating all sales activities for Europe in the Kent office the company would have better control of the ongoing activities and preserve its operating capital. "We see this consolidation as being very positive," concluded Swanson.

CON-SPACE is the recognized World leader in specialized voice communication equipment that is used in a variety of work locations, including high noise and hazardous situations. The products it designs and manufactures are used by general industry, municipalities, militaries, fire departments and rescue teams throughout the world. The growth of this young Canadian Company, along with its reputation for quality and service, is attracting a lot of attention within the investment community as well as the general market place. The developing business in Europe is seen as contributing even further to their growing success.
