RICHMOND, BC - Mr. James L. Swanson, Chairman, CON-SPACE Communications Ltd., (VSE: CCB) announced today that sales for the second quarter, ended December 31, 1998, increased 44 percent over the first quarter setting a new quarterly sales record.
CON-SPACE, a company located in Richmond, BC, designs and manufactures high quality voice communication equipment for general industry, municipalities, government agencies and the military. Its products are sold worldwide.
Since the company began sales in 1992 it has consistently grown both in sales and reputation, it is now considered the leading authority on communication within confined spaces, such as: tanks, silos, sewers, underground vaults and other hazardous locations.
Sales for the second quarter of fiscal 1999, ended December 31, 1998, closed at approximately $670,000, up 43.7% over the $480,027 in sales during the first quarter ended September 30, 1998. The second quarter was also up 36.8% over the $504,430 in sales during the second quarter a year ago.
CON-SPACE sales for the first half of fiscal 1999 were approximately $1,170,000, up 37.5% over the $850,716 in sales during the same period last year.
"Our second quarter will definitely be profitable," said Swanson, "which is a strong indication that our strategic plans are working and that we are on track for this fiscal year."
